on the cannablization issue...the RBOCs already realize this, or at least BEL does. at any rate, what they loose in revenues from T1 they more than make up for in volume on DSL. whats more the crosstalk issue may be moot. certain types of DSL, HDSL and SDSL are made to eliminate T1.

IMHO, it seems to me a non issue since the problems are with services the RBOCs are going to eliminate. look at BELs offer to upgrade ISDN customers to DSL.

anyone see the bt/t announcement today? looks like they are also setting up for a local partner...BEL anyone?

maybe T will be a WSTL customer soon<G>.

good luck to all,
trey

The world is in flux once again. What's new. Massive news out: AT&T buys Brit. Tel... what might this mean for WSTL???

Wall St. says this week will focus on telecom stocks...

''I don't think we've filled our potential in Internet,'' Armstrong said in an interview after announcing earlier in the day a $10 billion joint venture with BT to provide voice and data services to multinational companies. Armstrong said AT&T's Internet plans hadn't been finalized, but he aimed to improve operations across the board, from the company's Internet transport business, to its Intranet and extranet services for business, to the consumer dial-up Internet access business.
