Gary, The CyberTrader System is incredible!!! I just had it loaded (via PC Anywhere) by the folks at Cyber. Trey, their tech support guy, gets an A+ for service and knowledge. He worked around my schedule and now I'm all loaded and ready for demo trading Monday. CyberTrader allows you to trade in demo mode and actually press keys and execute orders. Much better than just paper trading! For my current skill level, the software is much more powerful than I need. However, I intend to utilize the full power shortly. The key to successful daytrading, IMO, is access to the best information possible so that you can make the best trading decisions. After all, this is the information age. Some of the new features, for example, include alerting you before the stock hits a new high, a market view window, the Island book window and new order execution features (smart keys and faster execution)which are just as important as the information on the screen. I'm spending most of the day going over the software features and deciding which windows to use as a beginning stage. I'll need at least one 21" monitor (probably two) to set my trading station to it's fullest potential (when I'm ready). The hardest part of daytrading (or the preparation up to daytrading) is getting everything from phone lines to computers ready. Finally settled on GTE as my ISP and have an ISDN line ordered for the first week of August. Spent more time than necessary trying to install all of the drivers under NT. My recommendation, unless you're a computer genius, why waste time on computer stuff when you could be reading a trading book instead. I spent $100 (labor)to have my system completely updated with 128K memory, the appropriate boards and NT installed. Well worth it! Anyway, I'm real happy with Cyber so far. There are maybe one or two other firms which are comparable, but the main selling point to me, was the fact that Cyber develops their own software, which means they can develop new and better features faster as this new field of trading develops. Check their cyber-brokerage.com site for actual screen shots. Good luck!! Brent
