Beefeater:

IMO: The prospects of the G* network are such that I am sure there are plenty of companies interested in jumping on the money train. Two things stand out for me, one is that I get the feeling the Indian government will push for a local partner (they seem to be rather full of themselves lately, not a slight, just an observation) and secondly Sorros might be able to assist.

India has not figured prominently in G* published start up figures but 3 planned gateways sez to me they plan to be big. The sooner the better, as I have said before, I put India as the 'surprize' which will push G* late in 1999. The fixed terminal market can be a big winner with a little push from the government. Big political gains for small investment, to place the phones in remote villages, so all the party faithful can keep in touch with the crownies.
