Interesting Powerball problem you got there, Henry. I'm on the other side of the state, near the RI border, and we've got no lines a tall. They must be thinking that if they bought a ticket in Greenwich, some of the wealth would rub off. Morons are everywhere.

One of them told me this morning he was getting death threats from people on line. Any merchant near a Powerball site is losing a tremendous amount of business as no one can get near them

Amazing how these "arm chair dreamers" are so willing to part with their money.

In stead of dreaming up all these "new" tax code reforms, (which by the way, the "new" tax code, I understand is being forced due to the Y2K problem, as I understand that under normal circumstances the IRS moron computer would not be Y2K compliant until the year 2008. Great timing!!).

Anyway, as I was saying, instead of all these new tax code reforms/ proposals, they should do away with all (federal and state), income, sales, excise, city, etc. etc. etc. taxes, and institute a National Lottery Revenue Service.

Now think about this one..... 50 states, (plus a few million Canadian, Mexicans (both legal and illegal)..... what kind of prize money would the Agency be able to come up with.....

Weekly draws, and if no winner, the prize is added to the following week, and so on...

Imagine the boost to the economy because there would be no taxes, (and if you do it right some of the money could also be directed to Social Security, therefore eliminating the dreaded FICA too!! for employees, employers.... AND SELF EMPLOYED too !!

Can you imagine the size of these purses ?!!

They would make the PGA money leaders roster look like prizes for hobos....

Imagine all the savings in salaries/wages for all those different bureaucracies (State and Federal), that would not need to exist.... OK we would allow a gigantic LOTTO AGENCY BURO to exist. The first Supremo of such Agency would be Master Allan Greenspan, since the Federal Reserve would become a subsidiary of the LOTTO AGENCY.

The House of Representatives, (and the Senate too, what the hell!), could be cut in half, (less moronic ideas to boot).

And perhaps we could export our dear politicos to other third world countries to institute their own NATIONAL LOTTERIES...

Hmm... it is nice to dream from time to time....

But really think about the size of the purses..... (in the Billions no doubt.!!

Z.

Good night all.
