Hi Greystone, First, thank you so much (It's Parents Magazine-everyone go buy one and write a letter telling them you can't believe how brilliant, profound and witty pwestbrook is and that they should pay me lots of money to write more more more. thank you.) You see how confusing this all gets! It was called to my attention that Impristine mentioned me in a negative way on his thread! Why? Who cares? THat's the whole point! These are-once they begin- endless, silly, non-productive exercises in futility! Janice and I have been good friends for two years! I trust her and her evaluations tremendously! She's no shorter, she's no paid basher. She's extremely honest, and she has a terrific instinct for recognizing insincerity, She is, for sure, also mischievous and stubborn as hell. It's imperative that we separate facts on stocks, answer the tough questions regarding specific stocks, and refrain from the rest, but look! already a personal element has entered in. This thread hasn't been here long enough to "belong" to a group, formed a group, taken sides with groups. What would be wonderful is if we could avoid that. Threads evolve, taking on lives and personalities of their own. THis one is in its infancy and is trying for I believe, some common respect, courtesy, and dignity for all. Has someone spanked Mr Forthright here? If they have, Mr. Forthright is a big boy and he has indicated that he enjoys this type of confrontation. Zebra came in here happily swinging, really pretty pugnacious. Impristine was ready to go after me for heaven knows what reason. THIS is what I object to. This element of---polarization and argument. I HATE it with a passion and avoid it when possible. Like Poet though, I respectfully yield to the thread wishes and I only speak out because I'm so damn sick of this stuff.
