That is why AG mumbles all the time ... to keep the markets in balance. That's his job, balance and not to determine the overall direction.

just some thoughts on the new direction the 'herd' is taking. After attending a party
this weekend in the company of about 99% investors/traders it seems everyone now
believe the market is ready to correct and the bull has vanished...


In addition to the sentiment, I ask what they are doing with their portfolio. Here is summary of my find with a limited group;

1) They are bearish... but are fully invested.
2) They are waiting for a rally to bail out of the market.

So, action speaks more than the sentiment. People can say all they want but their action is more of an indication than words. If they represent a good sample of investing public, the recent top would be very tough resistance. But from history I know that they will forget about all their bearish sentiments once the indices reach or race towards new highs.
