Andrew, Thanks for the informative post. It sounds like a pretty conclusive sea change in lowered expectations for HRBC. Though I suppose it is theoretically possible that the company could come up with positive surprises that exceed the expectations, it looks like the declining stock price is discounting a less optimistic view.

Y2K Issue

Looking at the company web page, it appears that they expect (or expected to have) Y2K fixes for most of their products available by the end of the second quarter. I didn't hear the conference call, so I'll wait for the next 10-Q to see if there's any discussion of the issue. It's possible that they are running behind on having some of their fixes available, but I haven't been able to discern any kind of major problem.

I tell you what's REALLY going on. The Great Evener Upper in the Sky is doing to HRBC what HRBC did to Premenos! When Premenos was down, HRBC came in and swooped it up for a fraction of its value. Now someone is going to come in at these reduced prices and buy the whole Company out for 10, 11 dollars a share. What goes around, comes around.

I say unto you, we are all being punished for the sins we committed against Premenos stockholders.
