I agree with your comments. I too believe that Amat ought to be priced lower than 30ish especially because the earnings and valuation seem out of alignment. But the fact is that the market is pricing the stock at the moment at 30 so my / our opinions are wrong...at least in here.

...and what might you suggest the market value LU, KO, GE, MSFT, Yahoo, Amazon.com, and OnSale to name a few others that seem to be carrying valuations "a wee bit higher" than where their price "ought to be"?

I agree with your risk/reward statement and feel that it is much better for AMAT than for Yahoo at present valuations. I buy neither, but hold a long position in AMAT. (25 would be a reconsideration point!)

OT***Truman, thanks for the opinion on Disney. Life would surely be dull if we all shared the same opinions!
