Dan - somewhere along the line I was told to buy options 90 days out. And if you're in a trending stock; you can buy slightly out of the money (which end up being golden). Knowing when to buy DELL would certainly help.... Understanding it's earning patterns by quarter is like insider information. I've looked at strike prices 6 months out and said, ya'gotta'be'kiddn.... they're expensive.

of course jbn3 can correct this assumption and provide you with better info.

regards,
laura

I also just picked up a tip on "thestreet.com" (the item was on PFE) about what the houses do. If they think a stock's going to rocket they'll go for current month in the money calls. The time premium is almost decayed... they've got pure 'cheap' value working for them.
