In fact, the only significant open interest proliferation yesterday was the addition of about 800 contracts at the August 50 put. This stock has been one of the better trending names in 1998, roughly doubling in value since the beginning of the year and only experiencing one weekly close below its 50-day moving average. Overhead call open interest at the 55 and 60 strikes is modest, but still not indicative of the respect it deserves. We look for this unrecognized name to garner more bullish attention in the coming weeks, as it continues its rally to new all-time highs .
