LHSPF says it will close in the fourth quarter, so that's within the next four months.

I think the discount for GNK is somewhat due to the uncertainty factor, but it is bigger than the usual spread. To some extent, that could be the result of the very small market cap of GNK; no one can make a much of money on this one without buying a lot of GNK and destroying the spread by driving up the price of GNK, so why even bother. They'll stick with abitraging the large caps. It may also be that both companies are still relatively unknown, so few people even know about the opportunity. Look at the SI boards - both are pretty quiet compared to how most tech stocks would be behaving with such a deal in the works. I've tried hard to figure this one out, wondering if I was missing some risk that the big boys understood and decided to leave alone, and I can't come up with anything, so I've bought enough GNK to essentially recover the LHSPF shares I sold in April, but I'm not putting any excess funds into it, either - yet.
