POWER BOARD FEVER SWEEPS NATION

In a stunning triumph of optimism over simple arithmetic, millions of people tapped their savings, borrowed from relatives and took out second mortgages on their trailers to take a shot at payoff where the odds are millions-to-one against - the OTC Bulletin Board.

Convenience stores across the country were deserted as the crowds who are normally happy to over-pay for life's daily necessities stayed at home, glued to their PC's in a frenzy of on-line trading.

Rosie Gomez of East LA, who gave up her job cleaning the latrines at Dodger stadium to "play the pennies", as she calls it, said, "I got in big on friday, adding more monday $$$$$$$$$$".

Many of these gamblers have no interest in the company behind the ticker symbol. "Ostrich farms, frozen babies, uranium from sea-water, who cares what they do?" said Amit Dupe, of Forest Hills, NY. "All I know is, some dentist on the internet told me this is a great buying opportunity, all of us who get on board this train early are going to be rich, baby!!!! Who cares if their biggest customer was just placed in receivership by the Feds? Buy more now, average down!"
