If a computer had a smartcard reader in it, no one would be able to use that computer except the holder of a specific card or just a holder of "a" card. The sensor would know who the person is by there ID imbedded in the card. Anything that anyone downloads could potentially be charged and deducted off of anyone's smartcard. But, how would the smart card sensor be able to know how much money to deduct? Would it be able to meter the use of digital content like the wave meter. If it can than it may be superior, if it can't, then it is possibly a complimentary technology.

Harold,

You are right. RCOM has nothing to do with what WAVX is doing.
Two completely different animals. I don't even see any resemblance
to WAVX's wavemeter, except the fact that both the wavemeter and this
card carry money. As far as computer use, there has been no talk of
IR scanners by anyone I have heard which includes IBM, HWP, Compaq,
Microsoft, or Intel.
RCOM's cards have more to do with things like EZ-pass then to do
with an E-commerce solution.
The more I read from Pat, the more I realize the guy hasn't a clue
IMHO.
