Carl,

Not at all. That is because the MR conversion is not done yet for one thing. There is still a lot of business to be had when the pace picks up. For another the single most prevailing migration path for higher densities is in higher track density. That means much more critical pole tip geometry and gap width control. While that is independent of GMR vs. MR (sorta.. am taking some liberty here) it does weigh heavily in favor of those with processes that will help with controlling those geometries in heads. Remind you of anyone? Frankly if I had to wrap it all up in one story I would have to say it is the single most compelling argument for an investment in Veeco. Pole tip geometry and gap width control. Veeco makes the ion milling machines as well as the metrology equipment to measure it to make sure you did it right. There are other reasons for an investment in Veeco, of course, but this one compels me.

Best,
Stitch
