Don's release is incomplete.. Here is the complete release Potential for kimberlite target on Cayo lands Ashton Mining of Canada Inc ACA Shares issued 23,798,122 Jul 24 close $2.80 Mon 27 Jul 98 News Release See Pure Gold Minerals Inc (PUG) News Release Mr. Donald Sheldon reports A preliminary assessment of the airborne survey data from the Lesser Slave Block in the southern part of the Buffalo Head craton has confirmed a number of magnetic anomalies which require initial ground exploration to identify potential kimberlite bodies. Field crews were mobilized to the Alberta camp in late June to commence a till sampling program on the Cayo Lands, owned 49 per cent by Pure Gold. Broad reconnaissance sampling is being conducted over this extensive area as a first-pass program to complement the airborne geophysical surveys completed to date. The company has interpreted that initial processing by Ashton in the North Vancouver laboratory of the first group of till samples collected in June from the Lesser Slave Block confirm that the samples of indicator minerals observed have been derived from a kimberlitic body. The Lesser Slave Block is approximately 80 kilometres north of the company's 100 per cent owned Edmonton block where a recent till sampling program yielded an unusually high kimberlite indicator mineral count. As previously reported in Stockwatch July 6, 1998, sample RNR recovered 102 pyropes, 9 chrome diopsides and 231 chromites from a 70 kg sample. This was processed and interpreted by Canamera Geological Laboratory. KIMBERLITE K91 Results from the analysis by dense media separation of a mini-bulk sample from kimberlite K91 are nearing completion and are expected by the month end. NORTHWEST TERRITORIES The summer field program is under way on the Roundrock claims, on the large RIC and ROC claim blocks to the northwest of Lupin and elsewhere in the Slave region. The joint venture has budgeted a total of $730,000 on the Slave Regional area, $200,000 on the Roundrock as well as additional exploration on the Cross and SYL claims. A total of approximately 900 samples will be taken for mineral indicator analysis in search of new kimberlites. Pure Gold has a 24 per cent interest in the above properties
