Been watching SCTR this morning, and seems that maybe the MM just wanted to show that -3 1/8 down to lure in more short players. Then the 'Ol Roach Motel is open for bidness...<g> As for the drillers, another fake-out rally this morning reminds me [sorry for another analogy]...that a freight train travelling around 80 mph takes about 1 1/2-2 miles to come to a halt once the brakes are applied. This would be the downward momentum trying to reverse, which will obviously not take place "on a dime". The RIG earnings were good and the statement released favorable forecasts going forward, which seemed to be fairly company specific to RIG [deepwater]...Could it be that the OS sector is just about fairly priced at these levels? Dr..take a quick look at REPS for a short. Good volume, bad sector being hurt by cheap imports, GM strike, etc...What's your take. Also, shorting a stock just over $5. Would one have to cover at/above $5?
