North Wolf you must have too much time on your hands. My day seems full just following the stocks I own or am interested in owning. You say you're not a shareholder and you don't like the company. Seems pretty simple what you should do then. But thanks for those altruistic comments.

North Wolf - further to other comments you will no doubt get - please, due your due diligence! You call the company and get their investor package, be sure to ask for the financials you want. BII is just fine in promptly answering people with GENUINE interest. You can then make your own decision - to be positive or negative about the company. Please note - all good investment threads have hardworking busy people, trying to share genuine information of common interest. Negative but constructive input is just fine, in my book - but the thread is not a starter course for how to check out investment opportunities without (you) putting in your own efforts too!! I hope you get your feet wet and then, see you back here. Don.

Check out Amazon, just lost .40/share for 2nd Q and stock over $100. Investment community was quite happy with their results. Netscape has never made money and I think read somewhere they aren't projected to for the next year or so and that stock is around $35. Internet stocks are hot right now and IMO, Bid.com is doing just fine. Sure they may have made some mistakes in the past, every company does, and yes, this may have pissed off a lot of people, but I think they have turned the corner in 98 and things to me look good. At 1.60, I think the stock is cheap and the downside below 1.50 is slim, again IMO, but the potential is huge. They project revenues of 30 million in 98, and their site has 20,000 hits a day, so they obviously are doing something right. Good luck John B.
