TAVA was TPRO a year ago or less and it was in the 4's or less. So by any measure it has doubled at least (and for those who remember the high 14's of not too long ago) has even almost quadrupled. That's impressive by any standard. So it is volitile. So are it's competitor's share prices. I remember wishing around Christmas how great it would be if TPRO doubled. It has. It will again. The earnings will be there either this quarter or next. The Y2K problem is real and not a scam. TAVA is not a scam. If it was it wouldn't be in the Russell 2000 and 3000. Forturne 500 companies don't make contracts with scams. Patience. There may be better places to put your money in July or August 1998 but TAVA will make money and it's stock price will reflect same. And when the Y2K phenomena impacts the average American then TAVA will be on the lips of every mutual fund manager in America.

Here's what Karl Drobnic posted about TAVA on his Tomorrowcast web site today:

Monday JULY 27: Tava's announcement this morning of a contract with Los Angeles Water and Power for up to $9 million of Y2K work failed to rally the shares. The failure of TAVA to rally despite the recent spate of very good news indicates that there are excess shares in the market. We did some digging, and here's a theory.
Renaissance Growth & Income (RENN, $9) is about to pay a hefty capital gains dividend. At 3/31, RENN reported owning 1 million shares of TAVA, and showed no realized cap gains in its 10Q filing. The only stock in their holdings that looks ripe for capital gains at 3/31 is Tava. We didn't talk to RENN, but it's an obvious source of two things: the excess shares depressing TAVA's price, and the current capital gain distribution being made by RENN could both be from RENN selling its huge Tava position. We'll know when RENN files its next 10Q. Karl, Monday am.-

}}}Anyone.. a synopsis of why TAVA has fallen so much recently,
without going overboard on speculation about company scams or y2k being the end of the world.{{{

More people are selling rather than buying...

It's now sitting on a long term trendline... It is likely to go up from here...
