>>"Paid promoters on TV and in newspapers, magazines and radio are no better
or worse than paid promoters on Silicon Investor," says Ms. McKinney. "The
difference is paid promoters on SI can be challenged. The truth comes out
in discussion forums, making forums the best medium for the discourse of
investment knowledge and wisdom."<<

Jill's response makes me feel good about SI. Heck, they can't prevent this from happening. As long as it's open -- you can read or ignore anyone you want to. There's no way to enforce any "quality" standard.

Gosh, if they did that I might be booted. <g>

Kathleen, I believe that article is the one where the reporter asked me questions. It is a different byline, but The Urinal uses fact gatherers. Notice how many quotes I got in? <G> Next time, instead of saying SI is popular because analysts and the media don't do their jobs, I will say, as the reporter was prompting me, that we are all a bunch of sheep waiting for some sharp promoter to shear us. That way I'll get my name in print. <G>

The other thing is, how much money do they pay for touting stocks? If you see me saying to buy Micron Tech and Gateway, you'll know it was a goodly sum. <VBG>
