Clark: My perspective is really a repetition of what I have been told by a number of major wireless operators. Most everyone would prefer fewer standards and greater interoperability. I would also note that mobility should drive the manufacturing volumes necessary to get unit cost reductions. Said another way...a dedicated WLL system might (possibly) have greater capacity, but it is less clear that the equipment cost would be sufficiently attractive to offer any kind of economic incentive to the carrier.
