The problem with acquisitions at this point is that the stock price is so low they have nothing to purchase with except cash from the coffers. I think that a share buy back at the current price could bring a huge gain for them 12 months down the road. Then, when their shareprice has doubled they will be in a much stronger position to make acquistions.
