SingTel: A World Leading Telecom Provider???

"As one of the world's leading telecommunications service providers, Singapore Telecom is committed to delivering sophisticated, innovative services to our corporate users," said Wong Soon Nam, SingTel's director of Business Networks.

Sounds like someone cranked up the ole John Chambers P.R. machine. A world leading TSP? The stock has been a little soft lately, J.C.'s got bills to pay!

Wouldn't Sing Tel save alot of money if they just got one great big gigabit ethernet router? The country cant be much bigger than Connecticut and all of their major business are located in one place.

I think ASND should rescue SingTel, comments?

Pete :o)

Bind.....

Well, I agree Singapore Telecom is not AT&T but it is the largest carrier in the region (does nearly $5B annually and is growing at a double digit pace). As for it not being a big deal... again I can't disagree however it is a win..and a win is a win. Added to Sprint and USWest and I'd say that CSCO and ASND are running neck and neck for the last 4-6 months in the core. Again, just an observation.
