The TYX makes sense to me because the Bond Future dropped starting at the same moment.

The SPX shows me an arc going up to 12:10 then settling until the 1 o'clock range. This period was the start of the 2 o'clock "balloon".... an expression Gene Inger uses that Clay and I spoke of before. Although the SPX did move straight up until 12:10 the balloon is generally in the 6th bracket (from 1:15 to 2) or starts slightly earlier. It's a period of motion that is identified by a solid move with little or no break.

For the most part it's a curiosity and not easily traded unless you are a purveyor of smoke and mirrors.
