Newbridge moves up on takeover rumors, and moves down on Newbridge denials of the rumors. The July 20 Ottawa Citizen article entitled "Newbridge at the crossroads," highlighting TM's ego and arrogance has not helped shareholders at all. It's clearly a shame and a disappointment that the market's focus of attention centers around takeover rumors. Today, as we again approach our 52-week low, one must ask, why? TM's response to such questions, during past interviews on CNBC, would be as follows: you people just do not understand what Newbridge is doing.

in what, from a technical perspective, was a very unsound move.... i bought back in 1/3 of a position today @ 20 1/2. my rationale: stock is very oversold short term (doesn't mean it can't get more so, of course). i doubt anything market moving will come out of the call tomorrow but...... just in case i wanted to get some sort of position in the stock and, looking out 12 months, i cannot imagine that i will be kicking myself for paying 20 1/2. finally, if the stock goes into a death spiral to it's multi-year/ multiple positive test support @ 14, i can buy the other 2/3. even if i missed the bottom and got in @ 16, my cost basis for the entire position would be $17.27. i could live with that if such an event occurs. if it does, i doubt it would stay there long as it would be some sort of climactic selling event.
anyway, so now you know......

btw, thanks to all for the kind words.

all imo only....nick
