Hi Mike:

The primary reason why the likes of TGNT and WCII are
unlikely to use CDMA is that the broadband traffic is
primarily data oriented and bursty. The multiple access
schemes which work best for this traffic involve
statistical multiplexing (ie. stations needing to transmit
contend for available time slots). In other words,
broadband wireless multiple access protocols are probably
closer to Ethernet type protocols (CSMA/CD) than wireless
telephony protocols.
