No more so than the people who blindly follow them. Does "hold for the gold" really make sense?? If everybody held, there would be no liquidity. Plus, everybody can't sell at the same price - there aren't enough buyers. What cracks me up most about the BB stocks is all the people who think they will get rich here without doing any work. Last time I checked, the lottery was the only place to do that (about the same odds too). "Do your own DD" has become quite the mantra here at SI lately. My guess is that one in 25 people who proclaim it follow their own advice. There are over 6000 BB stocks, how many KTEL stories can you think of? Everyone who claims to have 100,000's of shares of these silly companies should put their money in the S&P 500 stocks. Not many investments have out-performed them over the long haul. And lastly, knowing all the manipulation, bs, etc that goes on around here, anyone who still choses to invest ought to be grown up enough not to bitch and complain and blaim it on others when they lose their investment. Do people ask the lottery for their money back when they don't win? Not much different in the BB world.
