John, thanks for the feedback. I believe 1.8 million is doable and maybe even 1.85 million. However, I'd rather be conservative in my estimates. It's too easy to be even more optimistic in my outlook for this company than I already am.

Re. Gateway the 12% ASP decline must be year over year whereas the 2.4% is sequential ASP decrease.

Re. overall annual EPS you cannot add the individual quarterly eps figures since the average weighted shares change every quarter. The $1.481 billion after tax income must be divided by the average weighted shares for the entire year. I've calculated [read guesstimated] this to be 709 million shares for f99.

John, now that the DELL report is out I'm going to do a postmortem on the results vs our estimates. I'll post it tomorrow.
