Thanks for your response, and let me offer a thank you salute for your years of military service.

I also understand the politics of such situations. I am a war veteran and the son of a career soldier having lived in the Far East, Europe and domestic "hot spots" like Alabama in the 60's.

My previous post was not intended to suggest that any options available to SUF for security purposes in Angola could involve distasteful compromises. I believe the best defense of any system is a healthy economy. Whatever can be done to keep people working and optimistic about their future is the right path to follow. An exodus of foreign companies from Angola will be the start of human disaster beyond ethical comparisons to the economic losses involved.

It may be more responsible to continue seeking profits from Angola than to cut them off from the constructive, wealth building projects of foreign companies.
