how can a firm claim that orders are bottoming in July, when July is the present??? maybe indications of August and Sept orders are given??? the more stable book/bill is based upon three months and it is declining badly, with June orders down sharply some firms may be seeing an improvement on orders... others have reported a deterioration sounds like a baseball player claiming his slump is over when he is still in it !!! semi equips now said to stage a recovery in 2Q99... sounds like a forecast that pushes back their previous forecast we will see if more warnings and downgrades and lowered estimates happen for both chip firms and equip firms I doubt the bottoms have been full stoked for stock prices / Jim Willie
