ailp has already completed the signal for the 3day, it basically failed. you don't want all that static between the hitch and the signal. it deteriorates the less clean the setup is.it is also more beneficial for the break of the trendline to occur in a higher range. still it is an interesting set up, the low today made a bounce off the 50 day moving avg. it found support here on 6-26 prior to the next move. based on that it looks like a good entry point, but not based on the trick at this juncture. if it has an upday tomorrow the pattern you will see there will become the right shoulder of an ihs which would be another indication of a nice move should that be taken out by an upday wednesday. typically when the break of the initial downtrend is broken as it was on 7-23-98 that is the signal, again, in this case failed. imo.

atvi is also generating some unwanted "noise" from the original setup, but still has a downtrend in place to be broken, but again the signal gets weaker the longer it takes,.

the strongest ones will be immediately snatched up near the hitch indicating that the interest is still there and buyers determine any pullback as a bargain.

Warthog,

Thanks for the info. Remember though that the trick can take 3 or so days to fully ripen according to Doug. And I completely agree with all of the back testing I have done. Some of the best tricksters of the past took 3 or more days going in the wrong direction before they really popped. Most recently, PRGN is just such an example.

Warthog,

Is it possible for you to easily explain the 3 dRSI Trick?
Doug, told me that one of my stocks was doing this today if
it closed lower, which it did. I'd like to be able to see
what it is that I'm being told.

Thanks,

SAF
