Limtex - It's been a while since I looked at B-CDMA, but when I last looked (approx 9 months ago) they did indeed have some technical advantages (although I'd have to find my notes to tell exactly what they were). And because they are WLL they may always have some advantages, but we rejected them because of standardization problems (their signatories were all boasting about their special features, none of which were interoperable.) If they had had a huge cost advantage, maybe they would have stayed in the running, but they didn't.

As for licenses and royalties, I'd be surprised if QCOM wasn't using some of IDC's IP. But I defer to Gregg when he says that IDC is using more of QCOM's IP than vis versa. The only thing I know independently is that they did have a suit against each other a while ago.
