I guess the 'market' never buys based on future earings. Have you looked at YHOO lately? The 'street' know about the projections. You are ignoring both risk and further dilution.

Andreas, LGND's future projections are quite enticing. I actually thought they they were rather conservative. Of course, 2006 is still many years away and such projections are difficult to make accurately.
However, LGND's pipeline is extremely impressive, and it is quite a bit larger and more mature than in was in 1996 when the BARS projections were made. More recent projections do show that the numbers put out in 1996 were conservative. At that time, a profit for LGND was projected for 2000 ($0.10), while most recent estimates project similar positive earnings a year earlier (next year).

Profits from the earlier products can accelerate development quite markedly. It will be interesting to see how far and fast development actually occurs.
