Thank you for the clarification on some points.

BozkurtD published some very interesting forecast figures on the M1 re CSO surcharges etc..
My question that I posed, is wether in fact De Beers have verified these figures presented by SUF, considering that they are joint partners in this venture?
Could you provide confirmation on the starting date of mining on the M1 as a few different dates have been bandied about.

Thanking you in advance.

INFOMAN.

With all due respect regarding the M1.
I am quoting from the Mail & Guardian dated 12/06/1998, this was De Beers response to an article "De Beers took my mine":

"With a view to consolidating its various mineral rights holdings in the area, De Beers made a business decision to bid for the rights, and entered into a straightforward commercial transaction. De Beers was delighted when its bid was accepted in preference to bids by others, and, early in April, a prospecting agreement with an option to purchase was signed. Subject to due diligence being completed, De Beers will mine the deposit together with other nearby diamond properties."

You will note the last sentence clearly states that DB will first do prospecting on the M1 to determine the actual caratage/ton etc. before deciding to mine.

Any other information prior to the official De Beers results will be pure speculation.

Regards

Gull.
