jin kelley,
How nice of you to visit. You are correct on counting. You have to count the same way every time to make comparisons. If you change the way you count, you have to go back and recount before any comparisons can be made.
More then the counting, Compaq just wants a opportunity stand up and announce the channel is not stuffed. IDC just furnished the opportunity.

Is your revenue comparison just for US revenue, or for global revenue? Does your comparison apply to just PC sales or total revenue? As long as we are keeping the PC number comparisons straight, I want to keep the total revenue comparisons straight.

I saw Dell had a great day today. Congratulations and good luck tomorrow.

You're the one who's whining Kelly, clam up and enjoy your Dell shares, til the truth comes out that they're a one dimensional company...and when it does, and they report losses(as Asia will cause em all to do) WATCH OUT BELOW...In the meantime watch the big boys(Compaq, IBM) steal your thunder!
