Off topic: Couldn't agree more. I bought this with a 7-10 year time frame and expect the value to be realized at some point within that time frame. Assuming that the fundamentals remain the same or increase. In the meantime it would be interesting to discuss (or read the discussions of) the value of the science without the one liner digressions. Its a shame that we have to follow other threads for these discussions, aside from a few serious contributors here. There was an interesting discussion a month ago about stock dilution but it really wasn't resolved (yes dilution is a bad thing, but it was diluted for some delayed stockholder gratification, but is it worth it, only time will tell, I hope they stop doing it, etc...).

Dan

btw, I'm taking a little trip that will turn you green <g>. (e-mail soon)

Greg, Speaking of progress on many fronts, I would say that the most likely new news would be announcements of an alliance or two on the androgen (BPH and male pattern baldness) front. When Bear Stearns' David Molowa initiated coverage of LGND on 1995, when expect a couple of androgen deals within a year. I checked to see if LGND planned to take these programs in-house and was told that things really hadn't changed since coverage was initiated.

The abstracts at the Endocrine Society indicated that LGND's androgen program was making significant progress, so a few deals in the near term would not surprise me.
