great article.

i love all these consumer groups complaining about this. they dont seem to understand that the sumo wrestlers are going to go after each other tooth and nail. its a hell of a lot better than thousands of local companies all trying to interconnect and eke out some minor profit.

and the article makes another good point...by the time the merger is done, LD from RBOCs will be a done deal. that means the data networks arent too far off...

as a side note...GTE merging into BEL. whose management? kind of throws ORCTF/FUJITSU and WSTL into question. maybe a ORCTF/WSTL merger? woudl really simplify things for fujitsu<G>.
