The caller referred to a Lloyd's of London study indicating huge global implications and costs. Bob countered with the apparently successful recent U.S. stock exchange Y2K tests. But to me, that's the tip of the iceberg, compared to international problems. Bob also compared Y2K to UFOs, in that there is a lot of hype and media interest in the subject, but neither the believers nor non-believers can definitively prove their case. Again, I disagree. I think he's in denial on Y2K but time will tell who's right -- 1 year, 156 days and 5 hours to be exact.
