Forget about the charts and study all you can on the psychology aspect of trading.

All I can suggest at this time is to make sure you open an account with a good firm that is set up for day trading. I use MB Trading and am very satisfied with them but there are others that some people recommend highly too.
Starting with a small amount of $ is a disadvantage because you almost have to buy 500-1000 shares or else the commissions will really eat into your profits. Good luck.
