re "trading the dips." For what its worth, I am doing the same. In one account, the stock. In another, leaps. If you believe the long term trend is up; you minimize risk by buying and holding. If, on the other hand, you feel comfortable enough with CPQ's behavior to try to call the dips and peaks correctly, then the opportunity is to realize more than with a buy and hold strategy.

I'm at the point where I believe there is a serious risk of a major market correction. The idea is to try to be smart enough to be out of it when it happens. Buy and hold doesn't do that. Buy low, sell high might. Being smart enough to be completely in cash when.... Don't we all wish.
