Raymond James analyst could not have made his assumptions by speaking in depth with Trico as (a) Raymond James holds no long inside position in Trico therefor doesn't have access to the inside information and (b) Trico hasn't been giving out ANY data for the past thirty days other than to say "the situation for us hasn't changed for the past three months"

According to Trico's 10q: <<Vessel downtime associated with scheduled drydockings and upgrades is expected to be similar in the second quarter of 1998, but decrease during the last half of the year. >>

so, the number of ships running will increase in the second half of the year as the market warrants. many of these increases are coming from ships with contracts already in place.

notice that the interest expese has been decreasing. according to the last cc the interest expense will decrease further in the second quarter which should further help lift earnings. the only way RJ comments could come to pass is through increased acquisitions, but not through current market conditions. even oil at $10 wouldn't produce such ridiculous earnings
