RE: If we see a negative GDP it will be an artifact of the period largely due to the GM strike. Consumer confidence remains high. We have full employment with no hint of inflation. Commodity prices remain low. Interest rates are low and I think will trend lower. What else could you want? You make it sound like inflation is the only enemy out there. In 1929, there was not inflation. Market and economic setbacks can be caused by factors other than inflation and interest rates. Jim
