CGI Group Signs Two Contracts Worth $6.6 Million

July 29, 1998

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--CGI today announced that it has signed two
contracts worth a total of $6.6 million with Loto-Quebec. As part
of the first agreement, CGI will implement the Peoplesoft human
resources and pay solution at Loto-Quebec and its subsidiaries.
This contract has a total value of $5.4 million.

"CGI is the first information technology firm to sign an agreement
for the implementation of an integrated enterprise resource
planning system (ERP) with a public sector organization in
Quebec," said Jean Brassard, CGI's President and COO. "We are
proud of this achievement."

As the project's main contractor, CGI has acquired equipment and
the Peoplesoft license, and will take responsibility for
implementing the client's solution. In addition, CGI will provide
support and maintenance services over a four-year period as well
as operate the development server.

The second contract, to be carried out for the Societe des casinos
du Quebec, has a value of $1.2 million. It involves developing a
client/server management system. CGI will also ensure the business
solution's evolution and update the systems over a one-year
period, with an option for an additional two-year term.

Loto-Quebec is a public sector organization, founded in 1969,
which operates, directly or through its subsidiaries, various
lotteries, gambling and gaming products. Its subsidiaries include
the Societe des casinos du Quebec, the Societe des loteries-video
du Quebec, the Societe des bingos du Quebec and Resto-Casino Inc.
