FC-Ethernet Bridges are more than cool. They are needed to attach storage to existing legacy systems. Further, the FC people need to make sure they can do it in a hurry, or there will be other technologies that will step in to do this.

TM,

I think a Fibre Channel to Ethernet bridge is key to opening up a whole new market, which consists of the huge installed base of legacy equipment that uses Ethernet to communicate. This includes both storage and server devices. If it is true that five or so companies are looking at this technology, there must be some demand for it. I just hope Ancor gets there first, with the best product.
