Sonki, re MSFT, they seem to be immune to bad news. Did you check over on the Microsoft thread? That NT security bug will probably not be hard to fix.

I would avoid VLSI also. LSI has better products overall and gets nowhere, so why should VLSI go up. Paul Engel also mentioned yesterday he doesn't care for VLSI, saying whatever gate array business they had left would be taken away by Xilinx, I think.

Bigger is better, I guess, at least for now. With Intel, always (OK, with occasional pauses).
