Good afternoon to you all. Please find the latest press release from Sideware Systems.
The company has announced the establishment of an American subsidiary, to operate out of Washington, D.C., one of the largest technology corridors in the world with companies like AOL, IBM, SAIC and MCI all being represented with regional headquarters.
By establishing a US subsidiary, the company hopes to capitalize on the $100 Million Information Technology industry, as well as, the area's abundance of highly skilled personnel.
Though SYD has not announced a specific management team, the company anticipates making such an announcement shortly. In the meantime, this strategic move has to be considered a significant move for Sideware Systems for many reasons. Most importantly, it is evidence that Sideware Systems has the confidence and ability to conduct business in one of the world's most lucrative and competitive technology corridors.
As well, taken in combination with their IBM related press releases last week, this press release signals a definite strenghtening of the Sideware/IBM relationship. In furtherance of this point, we refer you to the following excerpt:
"By choosing metro-Washington as the site of our U.S. headquarters, Sideware expects to increase revenues as a result of the access to over $100 billion in IT [information technology] expenditures from area businesses and government. As a growing Internet company, securing a foothold in this locale allows us, on a daily basis, to significantly increase our business activity with our customers and partners," comments Owen Jones, CEO, Sideware. "Given our BESTeam Partner status providing e-Commerce and e-Business solutions, our U.S. expansion advances our relationship with IBM -- and certainly is an exciting growth opportunity for Sideware."
We look forward to further announcements as they pertain to Sideware's US operations.
