The equity financing is the completion of a deal from June 1997. The group of investors that bought the Class B shares had the option of buying more. They've exercised the option by buying more class B shares at this time. Borland needed the money in 1997, to show they had enough reserves to stay around if and when things got bad. The fact that the investor group bought more shares is positive. These are big players that believe in the company.
