ricky, Thanks for the support. I think that most readers of this board (or any stock board for that matter) appreciate good questions and good answers (i.e. those with some substance which is of interest to investors). Hopefully we will see more of that here to help "drown" out the noise that seems to follow LGND threads throughout the internet.

Re: Dr. Niman

I bought in a couple of years ago after following his comments for awhile (8 1/2).

Congratulations. While you haven't beaten the S&P 500, you have made money, which is more than most people who have dived into Lake Ligand can say.

...he has constantly informed those on the board about the status of the company.

Henry's information on the science and status of LGND's research have been a genuine treasure. I can say that much. I will only say that much.

At least I haven't seen "market maker" analysis with the same frequency as in past months.

He is here for the long term. The detractors seem not to be, and can only understand immediate price and not future value.

Regrettably, some characters do seem to be here for the long haul. :-O

LGND's long-term performance has been poor. Sure, it may turn around tomorrow (it is, after all, in a critical price zone). During the history of this thread, the stock has not been either an absolute or relative performer. Long-term orientation, by itself, isn't enough.
