Actually, Tom it was neither.

I had no deep need for the money or was trying to get more money just for its sake or the sake of my pride.

I had difficultly deciding, some misgiving about the employer and the move. Simply wanted something which I could introduce an uncertainty and ask God to give me a clear direction.
