Au contraire..... I'd almost suspect this happens more often than we think... esp after the mkt has been dropping 3 days in a row, I've often thought it was artifially propped up on that 4th day to prevent the margin calls... and thus a further, deeper drop. We have to know when the market DOESN'T pop up to stem the margin calls, we are in deep , deep trouble... all the more reason I was nervous after the last week. I'd been waiting for this, as I had already done quite a bit of historical chart studying... but it is still a shock when you see it play out before your eyes. Today we had the "bailout" by GM... but how long will that hold back the tide? There is no breadth there, and we all know it.
