<< Nan Ya keeps building fabs, despite slowdown >>

Nan Ya, or Formosa Plastics Corp. has a long reputation of investing during a down turn and make a killing when the upturn comes, coinciding with their start-up time.

I watched their chemical business for years and that's how Y. C. Wang (the FPC chairman) made his billions. Assuming he is right again this time, the next boom for semiconductor industry should coincide with their startup, in 1~2 years (?). How long would it take for a fab to start production from the date of breaking ground ? Semi experts on this thread please help.
